Yutta Fricke is the Executive Director of the provincial Disabilities Issues Office (DIO). The DIO's current priority is the development and implementation of standards under The Accessibility for Manitobans Act.  Yutta started working in the area of disability in 1989, when she became the Development Program Director of Disabled People’s International (DPI).  She left DPI in 1999 to raise two daughters while working as an independent consultant.  Yutta started working for the Manitoba Government, the day her youngest started Grade 1.  Her daughter has graduated since then; Yutta has not.
