South Interlake Regional library has been offering hugely successful children’s programs for many years. A few years ago they began taking a community led approach to deliver their summer reading program.  With 2 library branches servicing 2 unique communities they start with a base program and then roll it out in 2 different ways to meet the unique needs of their communities.

Join South Interlake Regional Library staff as they show case their plans for the 2018 Summer Reading program and share tips on what they've learned along the way, how partnerships have enhanced their programs and creative ways of promoting the program.

There will be time at the end for attendees to share their own success stories, throw around ideas and ask questions.

I am very creative and love making things, I also love watching children create and learn new things. The best part of being a librarian is the programming we do, I like to think of new ways to challenge young and old to try new things and succeed.
