In this session we will look at do’s and don’ts, tips and tricks, advice and information on planning and presenting a story time that’s welcoming and inclusive for everyone, including input sensitive children and children on the Autism Spectrum. I’ll be sharing my experiences in researching, planning and presenting a Sensory Storytime geared towards children aged 3 – 5, their siblings and caregivers. Specifically, we’ll be discussing planning and promotion, creating support resources like visual schedules, setting up the room, recommended reads and audience appropriate literacy learning based activities.
